While you guys are here, I’d like to take a minute to point you towards a comic pencilled, inked, coloured, and lettered my broest of Australia bros, Emily Smith. The digital download is only $2! I got to see all the inked pages when I was down visiting her in Australia and it was looking absolutely PHENOMENAL!

I’m super proud of her for making it this far and getting a published book off the ground, and I know it would mean the world to her if people checked it out (And maybe bought a copy!). You’d also be helping to inject money into the Australian comics industry! Since the medium is still taking off there, all the folks I know who are a part of trying to make Australian-made comics a sustainable industry are some of the most dedicated, hard-working badasses I know. It’s really worth checking out!

Okay I lied, the comic will stop being late whenever I stop being completely sick of drawing it. Word to the wise, pop culture video game gag comics are probably the least fulfilling thing to work on this side of OCT’s. Colour version will hopefully be up tonight, I just didn’t want to go through Wednesday without updating.

One more heavy handed morals strip because I’ve got the sinking feeling a handful of people still don’t get what this arc is about (Or at least the ones who are updating the TVtropes page).

I am stubbornly committed to not missing a week, even if that means every so often I have to put up a Flash Doodle comic.

Hwaaah, Hopefully I won’t be posting so many late comics in the future, I just finished the whirlwind con season of the last month-or-so. Thanks to everyone who came out for (and invited me to!) Madicon, Wondercon, Conbust, and UBCon! I had a great time meeting everyone who came out to hear me ramble and draw Magikarps everywhere!

Argh, sorry guys, between the three other comic projects I’m working on and the cons I’ve been flying out to every other week this past month, I have been getting really burnt out on MGDMT. It’s still getting updated, it’s just probably not going to settle down to a regular schedule until my life does. I’ll finish colouring this one later today, but I’ve got some things I need to do and for now I’m getting antsy about the lack of new content on the site.

In other news, I’ve been playing Breath of Fire 4 lately and uh…. wow. I don’t know how I ever had patience for all this grinding. I keep getting distracted and playing with tumblr every time a random battle shows up, so I’ve probably clocked twice as much playtime as I reasonably should have.

I bet Jared just lived off of nothing but Jiffy Pop for months

Brett got me this MEGASQUIDDDD from the Squid Kids Ink booth down at Wondercon as a happy shack-up-anniversary kind of present and I LOVE IT SO MUCH I just want to pimp out their store to all you guys. I’ve already procured a handful of their little babby squibs for some of my friends (and myself)

They’re awesome because they’re only like ten bucks and they’re super cute and they make everybody happy so they’re pretty much the perfect present for anybody who loves squids (by which I mean they’re pretty much the perfect present for anybody) They’ve got a bunch of shirts and stuff too! All equally adorable.

Everything is designed and produced by Nate Mitchell, who has been the sweetest guy to deal with in ordering stuff (I had to get something sorted out with the address on one of the giftsquibs I got and he was really quick and friendly about getting back to me!) so if you buy his swag you can feel all content that you helped out a self-made independent designer and generally awesome bro!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the table at Wondercon! I know it was very spur-of-the-moment, but it was awesome meeting you! And it always warms the cockles of my heart when people have been following me online long enough to want a drawing of Blue or Daggett. (And big thanks to Kel for the awesome Sorcery 101 book!)

This week’s comic is for everyone who’s ever shot a gun in real life and had to listen to someone say doing it in a game is a comparable experience.
