Scott DeWit suggested we trade protagonists for April Fool’s Day so I tried to make it as goofy as possible.

Considering the fact that there is not a school girl in sight, we can probably make an educated guess that it will somehow stay work safe.

The disaster looks big enough that there’s probably a schoolgirl caught in its effects. As to how the Omnathids are going to react to this (and whether or not we’ll see the answer to this) we don’t have enough information yet.
You know, with Duke around, it’s very likely that the womenfolk of all ages are perfectly safe, somewhere in a bunker. He does learn from his past adventures, after all.
Maybe that’s why he’s so out of his element? Because he’s already saved all of the women folk?
And also, he dealt with anarchy.
Love the Omanyte/Illithid hybrid idea.
My knowledge of Lovecraft disagrees. We’ll just have to see which rubbery direction this many-limbed story takes us.

I too instantly recognized Paul, even from behind. Since you plan on swapping characters for April Fools, I can only imagine what will happen in Fanboys. Though Jared and Lemmy would be like two peas in a pod.
Jared and Lemmy are actually more similar than Rock and Paul, honestly. Just saiyan.

Duke’s been shown to be a bit of a nerd in reality, but I don’t know much about this other comic to know how this other blond guy is.
Because he still hasn’t worked past his self esteem issues from a comic far back.

I thought I recognized that dude. I love it.
One tiny little obstacle like a horde of Lovecraftian Omanyte cultists, and suddenly everyone’s voting Democracy.
Also, I totally didn’t realize that stocky-gruff-blond-guy was a cameo of someone else’s character. I just thought that it was just some guy who conveniently happened to look like a younger, less muscular, less worldly Commander. That character has an uncanny resemblance to Commander when drawn in your style.
It’s probably the burns.
Commander PLEASE finish your Punching-The-Superior-In-The-Face and come back and bring the sanity!

Ugh, it bothers me when people say “IRL” as if that’s a thing (which it kinda has).
I sadly didn’t get the opportunity to be blind-sided by you guys’ april fool comics (stalk your tumblrs too hard), but I am over the moon every time I look at this :D Your Paul is ridiculously accurate, both looks-wise and brain-wise (I don’t think anyone could write someone more flippant if they tried). And I lost it at the omnathids. This is the absolute most logical conclusion of their entire saga. (Especially the part where the cutesy cthulian thing goes right back to being cthulian. I’m enjoying that.)
I also didn’t catch the PS/XB joke until you mentioned it on tumblr, but I had been struggling really hard to figure out why it was specifically kratos vs marcus, so that must count for something. :b Love it.
