Funny side effect of the bygone era where games were basically made by geeks, for geeks is that all those little pop culture easter eggs they work in make the heroes of said games come across as… kinda geeky.
I guess if you were paying attention to the Commander talking about the “girl who passes by every so often” bringing him cookies, the reappearance of the lady from the first strip shouldn’t be too much of a surprise.
