So this one comes compliments of the absolutely amazing and fantastic Lorraine Schleter, otherwise known as Tumblr’s FigmentForms, artsmith behind what is probably the most lovingly crafted and engaging Zelda/Ganondorf comic the internet has ever seen (seriously, I’m not even a particular fan of the pairing and I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for her new updates).
I reached out to her because I figure she’s the only person n the internet who wastes as much time thinking about Ganondorf as I do, and would probably make a seamless contribution to my pile of comics and she was nice enough to draw this up for me with no hesitation! Totally recommend checking out her comic if you like beastly well-drawn sympathetic Ganondorf stories.
I bet that’s how bowser envisioned it, peach lifting him up in the air all Dirty Dancing style.

Also Coelasquid, you might want to consider doing guest weeks on a regular basis. The guys at Cianide & Happiness do it and it’s really neat. You could have guests mon-sat so you don’t even mess your schedule. Just a thought.
I try to save them for when I’m in dire straits and need some relief because my full time job can be kind of unpredictable.
Coelasquid is kind of my go-to gal when I need to reference someone who goes out of their way constantly to lovingly keep their fans supplied with content. I think we underappreciate just how hard she works so we’re not left waiting.
And now you can even show them the picture of Coelasquid’s throat-scar to *prove* your point…

P.S. Um, Squid, you might want to beef up your reflexes just a tad more…Reaper’s Scythe *almost* got you that time.
But couldn’t that be a nice break? You know have a guest comic every 4 or 6 weeks or whatever. You have been awesome beast moding your schedule come hell, high water, accidents, doctors diagnosis or whatever. You deserve a little break every few weeks.
You can take a break anyway and noone would be mad but this way you could stick to your release schedule.

You forgot to consider all the sports she plays. She’s in the sports mix games, and Mario Party (Which would probably beat most Olympic athletes to paste) and don’t forget Smash Bros. Anyone who high kick people into atmosphere have got to have thighs to make Chun-Li drool.

No! You don’t want to do that! They’re got very complicated and elaborate calenders for which of his many warrior sisters gets to do his hair in the morning! You’re gonna bump someone off her turn, and then she’ll have to wait like 8 years for another chance, and she’ll probably kill you in the meantime to pass the time!
Even though all his sisters were badass warriors, I bet that still happened a lot growing up. Just sat with his sisters doing girl talk while they play with his hair (course their idea of girl talk might be less boys and sappy movies, and more battles, sparing and cool horses). And now I’d love to see Ganadorf as a kid (like Comander Badass asks him what it was like growing up n each frame is him and his sisters doing badass stuff, then it ends with them all in Pajamas, braiding his hair as he wears the girliest PJs, while they still talk about badass warrior stuff, but with facemasks and rollers…or whatever girls wear in sleepovers in movies)

That is adorable and after seeing my kids play the various Mario editions I can sympathize with Bowser.

I don’t comment often, so I just wanted to thank you for your always hard and admirable work, Coelasquid, and wish a quick and painless recovery. You’re the one of the strongest IRL superheroes.
I love how effing happy Bowser is in the final panel.
Like you can just look at his face and know that the song Believe It Or Not is just playing in his head.
I kinda was expecting her to stomp Bowser then throw his shell at Bayonetta.
Glad she didn’t. It’s not Bayonetta’s fault if Mario misled her, and I find women attacking each other to make themselves look better really obnoxious and overdone in fiction.
Soul Edge looking at what’s going on around it is kind of cute.

And such a fabulous fashion statement! Really ties the whole outfit together, i mean, silver blade to silver plates on the gloves. Otherwise brown leather and silver to Peach’s pink/ruby/gold theme? Ew.

Fun Fact: The abs you see in the last panel are actually all natural, you just couldn’t see them because she was holding stuff. Her wearing the gauntlets was more or less just to make Bowser feel better.
So no one’s going to mention the delight of Peach’s gauntlet-enhanced six-pack pushing through her dress?
Dude, she can bitch slap you across the horizon or high kick you into orbit, this abs, or totally for real.
Yay Bowser!! I always really liked him, and seeing him in one of these comics, even if it is a guest comic, is awesome.
Ganondorf with his hair down is like a redheaded SSJ3.
Close but there are a few fashionable differences. First of Ganon clearly doesn’t need quite so much hairspray since he keeps his hair in cornrows. Second is that one should never disregard just how fabulous his eyebrows are.

The part that’s kinda sad is that this is legitimately more plot between Peach and Mario than Nintendo has put out for years.
I busted out laughing so hard as soon as I saw her holding Soul Edge.
Peach deserves a good dumping. She’s a tease who just strings Mario along so that he’s there to rescue her from Bowser when she gets kidnapped or to rescue the mushroom kingdom when it’s in peril.
I mean, LOOK at the ending of New Super Mario Bros. How many times has Mario died trying to rescue her? And the first thing she does when they’re together for about 0 seconds? “Did I ever tell you about those hidden worlds?” She’s trying to get rid of him. She doesn’t want him around unless she needs him around.
Yeah, Bowser “kidnaps” her constantly.
I’ve had a theory for some time about the love/friendship triangle between those three. Hell, if you look at Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Bowser is in the throne room trying to comfort Peach when she loses her voice instead of kidnapping her.
I think the whole kidnapping thing is really a game between three people who are friends with differing environments and agendas. The Princess, whose position seems a rather empty and lonely one, gets to feel loved and needed. Bowser gets to spend time with Peach. Mario gets to be the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom.
At least, to me, that explains why:
Peach never does anything to avoid or prevent the kidnapping.
Mario never finishes Bowser off.
Bowser never engages in any of the mistreatment that Deviant Art ascribes to him.
Wanna bet that Gannondorf set that up with Bayonetta? :D
Not unless he did it by steering Mario her way–the plumber was pretty clearly expecting her.
Na, Gannon hung up on Bowser, and while he was off gathering the list of really difficult to get items he called up Bayonetta (Probably knows her through his sisters, she probably hangs out with them all the time) and told her that he was totally going to screw Mario over, get Peach to stop being such a stuck up, and get Bowser his dream come true (If only temporarily) at the same time! And Bayonetta agreed cause she’s the kinda girl who loves to watch the world burn.

Still, kinda hope it doesn’t work out between Mario and Bayonetta. Any woman who would ask him to shave the ‘stache doesn’t deserve him.
Especially if it’s a woman whose clothes are made out of her hair.
Further evidence to my rant just above this. Mario is SOOOOOOOO going to regret that.
I want the follow-ups! I gotta see how the Peach/Bowser and more importantly, Mario/Bayo dates go. :D

Wow that art-comic from Lorraine Schleter is just amazing. So many feels on so many levels. Every scene and picture is so well drawn it’s unbelivable. The story is also not just thrilling and tense, but funny as well. Im just stunned.
Thank you for picking her as the guest artist, now I at least know about it.
I always had high hopes they’d finally publicly date. Honestly they’d make a much better couple then Mario and Peach. Plus Bowsers kids could use a mother and it would unite the two kingdoms ending the wars. There is nothing negative about this union.
This is AMAZING. Peach has ripped abs, right through her dress! And Bowser’s posing looks so much like a certain spike-strap-wearing ex of mine, and then he’s just SO HAPPY. I thought for sure that Peach was putting on those gauntlets to put a smackdown on Bayonetta, and then would somehow decide that Bowser wasn’t a bad guy on the basis that he either A) brought her the perfect timely gift, B) aided her in taking down her foe, and/or C) Mario never treated her like she might want to fight her own battles, therefore Bowser might be secretly feminist or something and would make a better boyfriend.
Lots of fun.
And Ganondorf continues to have the most awesome mane of hair.
I want to see this plot continued.

Seeing Bayonetta here is quite interesting, as she’s almost a parody of femininity in terms of her character design, while Rock’s a parody of masculinity.
I wouldn’t call Rock a parody of masculinity. He’s what masculinity looks like when it’s secure within itself.

So Bowser has access to Soul Edge? How the hell is Mario Still alive then? And seriously tho, seeing what Soul Edge can do to humans, what would Bowser turn into with that? Seriously, think, Giga Bowser but even spikier and bigger and powerful.
I’d like to give some love to the phones here. Bowser’s itty bitty flip phone is comedy gold, I think we all agree. But did you notice: the soft glow of G.’s smartphone illuminating his face while he talks? That’s a subtle detail that speaks volumes about experience and attention to detail.
Indeed! Was just going to mention how “retraux” the clam-phone looked in Bowser’s massive paws, compared to trendy Ganon’s slab phablet, but then it’s Ganon, he’s faaaaabulous.

I’m finding it very interesting that Bowser says that he barely even knowns Peach despite loving her and multiple kidnappings. I wonder if he’d ever realizes what he just said.
It’s actually Ganon who says “I barely even know Peach”.
But yeah, Bowser did call him for advice because he realized he didn’t know her. Talk about a stalker’s crush.
OTOH, I’m all for encouraging would-be suitors of all gender and shape to try the dating approach rather than the kidnapping approach. So, better late than never, at least Bowser is trying. And his reward is to be the one being kidnapped, this time :-)
