Barbarians for FrankMay 15, 2010 4:20 am
I feel as though it would be inappropriate for me to gush too much over what an upstanding human being Frank Frazetta was, because getting all starry-eyed always cheapens the occasion. He was truly a genre-defining master of his craft as well as an upstanding example of a man living the American dream, he worked hard to be the best at what he did and inspired generations of people to come after him.
I think if you consider yourself to be of the art-inclined persuasion and you feel like Frazetta’s work has made an impact on the way you work, you should draw a barbarian. And then tell all your friends to draw a barbarian. Pass it on to your DA buddies, your Tegaki followers, your school pals, your favourite webcomic artists, anyone you can think of who can pick up a pencil. Draw a barbarian and pass on the word. If it’s any more incentive, tell me about anyone you can get to draw one and I’ll post a collection of them all here. So we can get a big collection of Barbarians for Frank.
