The coloured rims of the wheel with the faces just denote a theme for each. Tank and Angel are the cyborgs. The pie chart pieces inside there are the teams.
You’ll note Angel is in her own slice of pie (and thus the description is solely about her). Just like the Raptors and Jet are paired together, they’re a team. Ace seems to be the odd one out along with Angel in the chart.
But it’s overall a great way to put the teams together and get exposition at the same time
Angel is near the center of the slice containing her fellow Valkyries and half of Deluge. Did you perhaps mean Spider?
Colours are the families, grey slices are the teams. It’s kinda confusing because I had stuff I was planning to do with those dudes on Tank’s team that would have made it clearer but things ultimately come down to “What do I have time to draw this week” and plans have to change to accommodate.
Have you revealed who the third cyborg is? I don’t recall that ever happening yet.

The way Jones’ panel overlays the pie chart and the spacing gap that creates makes it look like there’s a third cyborg hidden behind the image.
I see what you mean. It’s supposed to be Ace there, but obviously he isn’t a cyborg, and also they didn’t realize he was playing, so he ended up on the other side with his brothers.

The Twins and the Charlies both sound neat. Wish you’d been able to give them a page. I understand how time crowded them out, though.
Hopefully they’ll get a panel or two as we wrap this up. I’m sure they’re up to something amusing.

These families would make a good day-time soap opera. It would even draw more audience than the WWE.
Think about the WWE being a “soap opera after hosing it down with testosterone,” then compare that to MGDMT being a “soap opera after hosing it down with testosterone, with a liberal sprinkling of Terminator/Cybernetics.”

In any case, I don’t feel it’s particularly difficult to pay attention to the comic just because there was some unclearity regarding who’s on who’s team, I mean you get the gist regardless. Tank and Commander is definitely not on the same team :P
I wanna say thanks though, checking the latest part each monday brightens up my mondays. I am one of those who don’t particularly love my job, and I definitely hate mondays. So checking this comic brightens my day and make at least something good come out of those dreaded mondays :P

Right now I don’t think she really registers on his radar. It might be because she “stole” Rock from his team, but he seems to have a mad on for Angel herself right now. Not that I think he’d hesitate to act in this case. It seems like simply avoiding confrontation might not be a viable option in this situation.
Pretty sure while nobody wants to fight with Tank if he laid a hand on Jonesy they’d all help out.

Looking back on the “Team Graph” I can’t help but feel Jonesy is covering up a secret third member of Spider’s team.
Wow, did people really find that chart that hard to read? I mean, I stumbled a bit the first time I looked, but the fact that the Commander wasn’t grouped with Angel and the Raptors weren’t with Ace made it pretty easy to grok how it was meant to be read, I thought.
If there were a third Cyborg behind the portrait of Jonesy, AND they were on Spider’s team (barring lies*, both are Jossed by Coela above), they would have been the second member of Spider’s team, not the third, as she and Tank are not on the same team.
* But since she’s not Andrew Hussie, we can probably discount this idea.

I guess this is really the part Tank was looking forward to. Come to think of it, all psychological and aggro-juice considerations aside, he’s basically like the combat-exclusive player in a DND game, who gets terminally bored and disruptive until there’s a fight. Then he just seems to materialise and starts brawling with whatever is there (and possibly anything that looks suspicious).

When he’s not actively raging, Tank is amazingly stealthy. It’s kinda like the inverse-ninja law, but not quite (this is what I choose to believe, and it only adds to the humor of the nondescript-space-future military being able to harness that kind of stuff)
Well, if the future space military wins wars through popularity, maybe they’re able to harness tropes to power their weapons. Maybe that’s why everyone seems so (dangerously) genre savvy.

It’s interesting how this is pretty much recreation for must of the guys, and Tank is the only one getting fussed about it. He’s basically being that dude who flips the table because he’s losing at Monopoly.

I like to think that Tank’s finally balanced out and is actually here to offer Angel an honest to God apology for his earlier ebhaviour.
I’m looking at Tank’s expression there… he probably HAS cooled down a bit. And he probably wants to end this as much as anyone else. This is probably the part he’s been looking forward to. “Okay, now to remind everyone I’m the toughest in an actual physical brawl, and then they can flush out my brain chemistry and help me calm down. Man, I love these guys when I’m not too gassed up with psycho drugs to think straight…”
And it is only now that I appreciate just how large tank is.
I can’t imagine he hasn’t calmed down some since he hasn’t been one for not announcing his presence until now and because I don’t see him being angry right now helping to wrap this plot up.
We still don’t know what tank is going to do nor how rad his base actually is. but eager to see what will happen next.

Looking back at this arc, this is exactly what my friends and I do the few rare times we get on Minecraft together. Annoy each other, steal each other’s stuff, build a five star hotel, then the pvp breaks out until we’re all bored and decide we’re done for the day.
I know you’re probably ready to have this arc done with, but personally I dig stuff that rounds out characters and have really been enjoying this one, even with all the strips that were just “look at these fluffy raptors.”
Then again, who can hate fluffy raptors, either? Only heartless monsters, that’s who.
I spent several months thinking this comic was dead because i favorited a comic instead of the home page, suffice to say im feeling very foolish, and rather happy that i just had so much to catch up on
